Aquatic Resources Research Institute (ARRI) was established as a center for identifies and formulate guideline of the researchable questions associated with aquatic resources such as aquatic resources conservation, marine science, aquaculture, biotechnology, oceanography, environment lined in sustainable development with consideration of culture, socio-economic, indigenous knowledge, policy, adaptation and science based information and tool.  Integrated approach and underpin the ecosystem approach to the management and exploitation of resources for conducting and collaborating research are main role at national and international level to achieve the optimize in sustainable contribution of food security, universal standard, marine biotechnologies to fuel "blue" growth and transfer technology.  In addition, promote graduate study enhancing skill in interrelated issues of quantity and quality besides, profound identity, art and culture of human society.
